# Greene County prepares for Broadband

Greene County NC is conducting a community survey on broadband needs. The Reflector in Greenville wrote an article about Greene County’s plans [here](https://www.reflector.com/News/2018/08/31/Greene-County-conducts-broadband-survey-ahead-of-grant-application.html).

> “Greene County is circulating a survey as part of its broadband initiative to determine internet/broadband access of all residents.
>
> “The primary goal is to identify underserved areas and work to attract internet service providers who will offer expanded service and higher speed options at a reasonable price,” said Rick Davis, the county’s economic developer, who is heading up the local plan.
>
> Davis discussed the survey at a recent meeting of the Greene County Economic Development Commissioners and the Greene County Board of Commissioners.”
