# Alexander County NC Engages Open Broadband

Open Broadband was selected in the Alexander County RFP process to perform a Broadband Feasibility Study. Greg Cronk, Information Technology Director for Alexander County told the Board of Commissioners:

_Open Broadband, LLC, was a staff favorite based on:_

_• Both principals of the company each have over 20 years of experience in the field._  
_• The firm has considerable experience with this type of study and analysis with several_  
_NC counties / cities / towns._  
_• They have an excellent understanding of the current and proposed NC legislative_  
_regulations concerning broadband and local governments._
